Sensory Figures for Interactive Notebooks

.
I have students write about 6 complete sentences describing what the person sees, feels,

hears, tastes, thinks and smells.

I have used these in social studies and science as well as with biographies.   Getting the student to identify with either the specific person they are studying such as Sir Isaac Newton, or a general group of people such as an immigrant going through Ellis Island allows them to make connections and really understand the person.   I also use graphic organizers that help support the informational text.
